Portfolio Editor:

TickerCurrentProposed
Total

Allows you to upload a portfolio as a CSV file, or type in a portfolio and analyze it, and test out ideas. This is merely a mathematical tool to analyze PAST HISTORY and IS NOT financial advice.

Use one of the following two options to input the portfolio

Option 1: Use the 'Choose File' button to select a CSV/Excel file from your computer. (Wait till its name shows to right of 'Choose File')
The CSV/Excel must have at least these columns:
- Data must start in cell A1
- either 'Symbol', 'Current Value', 'Total Gain/Loss Dollar' (such as from a Fidelity Positions Download),
- OR 'ticker' and 'amount', (no need to remove extra columns if present) Column names are case sensitive.

Click "Interpret CSV" IMMEDIATELY after choosing the file to populate the table with Ticker, Current, and Proposed columns.
These are percentage values, with a total shown at the bottom.

The "Total Value" ($) is displayed in the box above the Analyse button.

Option 2: Type in the ticker and 'Proposed' Weights of the Portfolio ensuring that weights add up to 100
Then type in the "Total Value" in the box above the buttons.

You can edit the Proposed column to change allocations, and add new tickers at the bottom by entering their proposed percentages.
Ensure that the total remains close to 100%.

The "Compare Ticker" field (default 'SPY') allows you to compare your portfolio to another symbol.
The "Default Ticker" field (default 'SHY') is used when data is not available for any given ticker.
---- (for Cash, 1 Mo Treasury is substituted)
The "Years" field (default - 3 yrs) controls how far back the analysis will go.

Clicking "Plot" will generate a graph and display a table summarizing key portfolio metrics and Trades to do
Show Var option is to show 21-day daily moving VAR at 95% confidence level. Serves as an approximation for worst percent loss in a month with 95% probability
CPI adjusted is to show the returns adjusted for Inflation.
"Bar Chart" toggle to cause the graph to be a bar chart ('show var' will be disregarded in this case)

You can repeat the process as needed. 'Save CSV' will save the proposed portfolio as a csv file
